Isle of Man TT: A Dangerous Addiction →
I just watched this intense film on @DocHeaven and it is unlike anything I’ve ever seen before.  Although I think Motorcycles are a bit Dangerous I’ve always wanted to have one.  Unfortunately or fortunately my wife has always denied my request. The Film is about a one of a kind Race in the streets of the Isle of Man, once considered the most prestigious races in the world.  The Race...

The Dotted Line (2011)
Morgan Spurlock does it again, this Documentary is Awesome!!! If You’ve ever wanted to see what a sports agent really does, check out this film. You definitely get to feel the excitement and the disappointments that these guys go through. My favorite part of this film is when you get to watch a Draft with an Agent, it gets intense! I also like that the film covers the high roller agents...

Happy (2011)
I’ve been anxiously waiting to see this film & I was not let down. It has several great stories within the big picture. It really reinforces many of my own personal beliefs about life and success. I really enjoyed learning about the different cultures and their perception of happiness. It made me feel great and made me think of whats really important. There’s a great Ben...

Circo (2010)
If you’ve ever been to a Mexican Circus, this will bring back some great memories. If you haven’t, this film will bring you to the front row. The story will help you understand the sacrifices and hard work it takes to run a small family circus. Circo will take you on an emotional ride, i highly recommend it for any age group. My 8 year old loved it!

Senna (2010)
I’d seen this film advertised on Netflix and ITunes all of the time but for some reason I’d always bypassed it.  I’m sure glad I finally gave it a chance.  This Doc is Awesome, whether you like Racing or not.  Since I didn’t know the story I was so excited and tense the whole way through.  A true Talent and probably the greatest Formula 1 Driver ever.  If the Politics...

Romantico (2005)
A great story about a Trio (actually they’re only two) of musicians from Mexico trying to make money for their families back home. They walk the streets of California and play anywhere they can. The few dollars they make are enough to provide a decent life for their families. But the sacrifice of being so far away is painful. This is the story of many people that are in this country...

Fat, Sick & Nearly Dead
Okay, so a friend of mine posts something about a diet that he’s been on for 26 days.  He say’s how brutal it’s been but then posts a before and after head-shot of himself.  I must admit, it’s pretty amazing.  So now I’m intrigued and I ask him what it’s all about.  He say’s, “watch this movie, Fat, Sick & Nearly Dead”.  That’s all he...

Soy Jalapeño
It’s funny, growing up in West Texas I grew up hearing so many derogatory remarks towards Mexicans. Many of them didn’t even make sense.  Why would people make fun of what we eat?  Why would it even bother me. I should have just embraced it!  Yeah, I’m a beaner, i love the sh!t out of some beans!  I also like Enchiladas and Tacos, someone give me some tamales, barbacoa or even...

Tebow Hater
To all of you Tebow Lovers, listen up. First of all let’s get something clear we don’t hate Tebow because he Loves Jesus. We Love Jesus too!! Well… Most of us do anyway. We hate Tebow because there are so many other athletes that love Jesus too. Athletes that actually have professional God given talents. They pray and thank the Lord before, during and after every game, just...

Newt Nonsense
Honestly, I really don’t care what you or anyone thinks about this.  You have your own page to write what you wish.  This is simply my opinion and my freedom to vent. Please don’t try to “educate” me or engage me in a debate because I’m not interested.   If you must know, of course I don’t think that helping the poor is a bad thing.  When a person starts to...

Best Gift, Really??
Okay, i was listening to the Radio the other day and a commercial caught my attention.  They were talking about a “one of a kind gift, best gift ever…” so i was intrigued and instead of switching the channel between songs as I usually do, (yes, no XM, I’m Cheap) i listened for a few more seconds. What i heard next was the biggest pile of BS I’ve ever heard.  I’d...

Kicking It (2008)
Futbol is truly a universal language, this film makes me want to start playing!  If I wasn’t 35 and overweight, i might!  This documentary is about teams that are formed from all over the world to come together and play in the Homeless World Cup in South Africa.  Every player that is on each team is homeless for many different reasons.  The filmmakers bring you into their lives and helps you...

Pozole
OMG, this morning I was just sitting down for breakfast at my Moms house. The wonderful aroma of a home cooked meal that carried out to the street was to die for!! In front of me was an extra large bowl of steaming Pozole! I proceeded to add a nice helping of finely cut Cabbage onto my bowl. By this time my mouth is watering, i can’t wait! My mom brings some freshly fried tostadas to...

Marathon Boy
Holy Cow! (no pun intended) One of India’s Greatest Athlete’s? I don’t know if we’ll ever know the answer to that question.  This film is fantastic!!  I was hooked from the start.  It’s unbelievable what this little boy accomplished.  His talent was definitely a gift from God.  The toughness and the fight this kid has is a reflection of where he grew up.  One of the...

Baghdad High - 2008
One of my Favorite Documentaries!!!  I watched this a couple of years ago and was glued to the TV!!! I always wondered what teenagers do in middle eastern countries.  All we see is the destruction and hate on the news, I knew it couldn’t all be bad. This film takes you through the lives of some normal teenagers in Baghdad.  You come to realize that they are not much different than us.  I...

Which Way Home - 2009
One of those films that makes you feel like standing up and doing something.  There are so many things that are beyond our reach.  We know it, we understand it and we live with it.  “You can accomplish anything you set your mind to”, is not necessarily the case for everyone.  This story is about migrant children trying to make it to America by way of the Mexican Train System.  You get...

Latino List
Just watched this Documentary on @HBODocs and it was very inspiring.  It’s an interesting look at very successful Latinos in America.  They share their stories and experiences through their rise to glory.  Some of the stories leave you with tears in your eyes and others make you laugh your socks off.  It’s a short film at 56 min. and a Must See in my book!
